Have you ever made a wreath with a pool noodle? This clever tutorial will show you how to make a beautiful wreath using ornaments and a pool noodle. This fun craft is a less expensive option than using a wire wreath form. Whether you’re hosting a family get-together, a party for friends, or just decorating for the season, making a wreath to hang in your home is a festive and easy DIY craft for the holidays.

• Pool noodle
• Hot glue gun and glue sticks
• Duct tape
• Ribbon
• Christmas tree ball ornaments in various sizes (approximately 150)

Instructions

1. Start by creating a circle with the pool noodle by bending and securing both ends together with hot glue, pressing and holding for about 3 – 5 minutes. To further secure, wrap duct tape around the seam of the two ends or around the entire wreath.
2. Remove and discard the hook toppers from the ornaments for easier attachment to the pool noodle.
3. Arrange different size ornaments in a circle around the outer edge of the pool noodle.
4. Using a hot glue gun and glue sticks, begin to glue the ornaments onto the pool noodle outer edge. About a dime sized amount of glue is enough to adhere the ornament to the foam wreath.
5. Be sure to put the glue on the ornament and not directly on the pool noodle from the gun to avoid the foam melting from the heat of the hot glue or gun nozzle.
6. Once the outer edge is filled with ornaments, use larger size ornaments for the inside of the circle of the wreath form.
7. Glue ornaments onto foam making a circle inside the wreath middle.
8. Fill in space between the two circles of ornaments by gluing different sized ornaments to cover the entire side of the pool noodle wreath. The back does not need to be covered as it will sit against a wall.
9. Fill in any sparse areas with ribbon or batting.
10. After glue has dried, add a festive ribbon or bow if desired.
11. Using wire or ribbon create a loop and glue on the back of the wreath for easy hanging.
