Gaskets/Seals Component foam gaskets and seals for multiple OEM markets Armacell’s component foam products are used for a wide range of mechanical and automotive parts. Original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and fabricators use these foams in transportation and other equipment made throughout North America and across the globe. A common use is for gaskets and seals, which protect systems from liquid or dust. These parts must meet strict standards set by associated industries. Ensolite® , KOEPPcell , Monarch® , and OleTex® products are sold for gaskets and seal use. Component foam is shipped to fabricators for die cutting, stamping, thermoforming, laminating, applying adhesive to, or other needs. Armacell makes component foams that meet many ASTM, UL and auto industry standards. If you do not see the specification standard for your particular manufacturer or industry, please contact us . Plumbing Armacell offers the original closed-cell foam insulation systems for plumbing — commercial and residential Since 1953 AP ArmaFlex® has been THE preferred flexible elastomeric insulation for commercial plumbing pipes. The low thermal conductivity of ArmaFlex pipe insulation makes it an efficient thermal barrier. The closed-cell foam structure offers excellent water-vapor transmission properties, which reduce the need for additional vapor retarders. Also, its thermal performance will not be impaired by surface punctures. Available in 6-foot lengths, Tubolit, Imcoa and Tundra require no special tools for installation. Both Tubolit and Imcoa also come in a white self-seal option where a clean aesthetic is important. Packaging Component foam material for packaging manufacturers OleTex® chemically cross-linked polyethylene foam is made in rolls or buns (blocks) that can be used to manufacture packaging. This water-resistant foam can be easily thermoformed into a variety of packaging shapes. Armacell offers a nearly limitless color range for custom foam applications. Material can be die-cut and shaped as needed for protective cases and custom inserts.
