Armacell acquires the Insulation Business of Nomaco – a leading US manufacturer of extruded polyethylene (PE) insulation foams.

New acquisition significantly increases Armacell’s North American PE manufacturing footprint, extends PE product portfolio and increases regional sales coverage and customer service levels.

Armacell acquires 100% of the shares of PoliPex Ltda. (PoliPex) – a leading Brazilian manufacturer of extruded polyethylene (PE) insulation foams.

The new sizes answer the demand for larger tubes eliminating the need to piece sheet or roll material around large 8” and 10” piping. Mechanical insulation contractors will save time with easier-to-install tubes which curve naturally to fit snugly over large pipes and glue together faster than flat insulation. Added savings will come from reducing the scrap material that comes from cutting sheets down to size for large pipes.

Armacell delivered record results in 2015. Sales amounted to EUR 540.2 million (2014: EUR 452.2 million), an increase of 19.5 % compared to 2014 and outperformed the market.
