Armacell is pleased to announce the acceptance of 21 Component Foam products to the General Motors (GM) approved source list (MATSPC). In an effort to keep our products up-to-date with current automotive specification standards, a two-year endeavor was undertaken to conduct extensive internal and independent laboratory testing. 

In order for our foam materials to be considered for specification into a GM vehicle to GMW 17408, they must be on the approved source list. Having 21 products on the MATSPC list today means Armacell’s automotive customers have a trusted material source to make the components that they supply to the auto industry. 

The GMW 17408 specification describes the requirements of flexible expanded rubber and rubber-like materials to be used as air, dust or water sealing. The complete list of Ensolite and Monarch products that meet this specification can be downloaded here.
