SPE® Annual Plastics in Electric and Autonomous Vehicle (EAV) Conference
At the Noise, Vibration, and Sealing session on May 4th from 1:30 to 3:00 PM, Armacell's Technical Manager Isabel Wright and Transportation Segment Manager Augusto Cucala will present Foam & Insulating Materials to Address NVH, Sealing, and Thermal Protection for Battery Electric Vehicles. They'll discuss our extensive range of cellular rubber and polyolefin foams, which come in a variety of densities and firmness. Our newest lightweight non-foam materials, ArmaComp™ Smart and ArmaGel®, will also be discussed in relation to their use in noise, vibration, and sealing in automotive applications.
The following materials will be discussed in detail:
ArmaComp™ Smart is a hydrophobic melt-blown nonwoven made of pure melamine that provides outstanding acoustics and thermal insulation at mid-range temperatures which provides the solution of choice for industries like automotive, aerospace, building and general industry
ArmaGel® is an aerogel capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 1,300 degrees Celsius and direct flame resistance capabilities, making this product ideal for thermal runaways and propagation protection.
