The infrastructure of a nation is what cements civilization together. It is represented in many forms such as highways, roads, bridges, water supplies, sewers, ports, mass transit, aviation, telecommunications, and railway systems — things without which the world would be a vastly different place and most definitely, very difficult to navigate. Across the U.S., the public sector manages transportation infrastructure and these advanced systems demand efficient installation and integration, while maintaining conservative costs. To support this essential system, Armacell provides five Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Bulletin 15 qualified sealing and joint material solutions that construction projects can rely on to support a growing society.

PennDOT’s rigorous product scrutiny process requires consistent, reliable testing results and tolerances.  Being approved to be on the PennDOT Bulletin 15 qualified products list means customers, converters, fabricators, and specifiers can rest assured that included product solutions have demonstrated a high performance in accordance with department specifications. Armacell’s EnsoLite® IG2, IG3 and IV3 were approved as closed-cell foam joint material for use as seals specifically between sections of precast reinforced concrete box culverts. Armacell’s Monarch® 2062 and 2045 were approved for use since 2005. EnsoLite IG2 joins Monarch 2062, both listed as closed cell joint material for prestressed concrete bridge beams.
