Condensation should be avoided at all costs  

The Challenge: Water, and water vapor, destroys insulation performance and makes it less effective. Moisture intrusion results in the insulation material losing thermal performance, and this gets worse with time. Essentially, this means that more energy will be required to maintain the same system performance. There are also further implications such as corrosion under insulation (CUI), structural degradation, and poor indoor air quality due to potential mold breeding grounds.
